I Am Experiencing Food Freedom!

“Undeniably, I experienced a huge physical change throughout the process of Sexy Mama. However, losing 30lbs was merely a side effect of the tools I acquired, the huge shift in mentality and perspective surrounding nutrition and fitness, and increased confidence gained through a support system of amazing women, confidence challenges, and learning how to let go of guilt and take care of myself. When I started the Sexy Mama program, I was not only post-partum, but I was coming into it after years of a poor relationship with food, up and down with weight, restrictive and disordered eating, poor body image, always putting myself last, and I had lost my enjoyment when working out and being active. Throughout the program, Tea did give me macros to follow and workouts to do, but, unlike any coach I had had before, she also provided tools and suggestions to work through old habits, set up a support system of other women doing the program, and most importantly, viewed me holistically as a person. She encouraged me to be kind to myself, incorporate self care into my life, and how view food as something that fuelled my body, has nutritional value, but also can be enjoyed.  With my new support system, I was able to build a strong foundation for health and fitness that was realistic for my life as a single working mom. It has been a year since the program and I am still enjoying my workouts, eating nutritiously, utilizing tools I gained when I do have negative thoughts surrounding my body and food, and I can live life while doing so! I go out for dinner, eat at events, I am experience food freedom and less fear of food, and feel confident that I am being a positive role model for my daughter. I put the work in and the work ended up making my life easier. I feel healthy, I have confidence, my stress levels are lower, I have a new appreciation for my body and all it can do, and truly feel as though I learned how to live a sustainable lifestyle that allows me to be the best version of myself- mentally and physically”
